01 Who we are

Summit Strategy Works ("Summit Strategy Works," "we," "us," or "our") provides strategy, operations, growth marketing, and finance consulting to startups and small businesses. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through summitstrategyworks.com and our registration form, and through related communications.

02 Information we collect

When you register or request a consult, we collect the information you provide directly, which may include:

  • Identity & contact details: first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
  • Postal address: street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
  • Consent information: the fact that you checked the consent box, plus the date, time, and the IP address and device/browser details associated with your submission (used to evidence your consent).
  • Communications: messages you send us and your responses to our emails, calls, or texts (for example, an unsubscribe or a "STOP" reply).

We also automatically collect limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and general usage information through standard web logs and cookies.

03 How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule and deliver your free consult and respond to your inquiries.
  • Send you marketing emails, calls, and text messages about relevant products and services — but only after you confirm your registration through our double opt-in verification, and only as permitted by the consent you gave.
  • Verify and document your consent for compliance purposes.
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Double opt-in. After you submit the form, we email you a verification link. We do not begin sending marketing communications, and we do not pass your contact details to marketing partners for their marketing, until you click that link to confirm.

04 Sharing with marketing partners

When you check the consent box and confirm your registration, you agree that we may share the contact information you provided — your name, email address, phone number, and postal address — with our business-services marketing partners so that they, and we, may contact you about relevant products and services, for the purposes you consented to.

We share this contact data with marketing partners only for those consented marketing purposes. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties for purposes you have not agreed to. We also share information with service providers (such as email, hosting, and analytics vendors) who process it on our behalf, and where required by law or to protect our rights.

05 Consent records & retention

To comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar rules, we keep records that document your consent to be contacted by email, call, and text — including the consent language shown to you, the date and time, and related submission details.

We retain TCPA consent records for five (5) years after the date consent was given or last confirmed, even if you later opt out, so that we can demonstrate that consent was properly obtained. Other personal information is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

06 Your choices & how to opt out

Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and you can withdraw it at any time:

  • Email: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to opt out; message and data rates may apply.
  • Calls or anything else: email privacy@summitstrategyworks.com and we'll remove you from the relevant lists.

Opting out of our communications does not delete the consent records we are required to retain (see Section 5).

07 Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share.
  • Access and request a copy of your personal information.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions (including the TCPA consent records we must retain).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of "sharing" or "sale" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@summitstrategyworks.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," or submit a request through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information request line. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

08 Children & under-18 exclusion

Our website and services are intended only for adults. This site and registration are not directed to anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not register or submit any information. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes a minor has provided us information may contact us at the address below.

09 How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it.

10 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
